Job Description
--Write CNC programs using the codes required by the manufacturing instructions
--Perform initial set-up of new programs to include special jaws and/or fixturing
--Select and cut material according to process sheet and/or prints
--Transfer programs between computer and CNC machine
--Sets up CNC machine according to manufacturing instructions
--Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required
--Completes in-process part inspection as required by the print and accompanying documentation
--Deburr machine parts with files and/or scrapers as required
--Operate drill press and/or hand tools to complete secondary operations
--Verifies conformance of finished parts as required by print and accompanying documentation, utilizing measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and gages
--Perform general maintenance and cleaning of CNC's tooling, and fixtures
--Completes appropriate paperwork to keep manufacturing instructions up to date
Skills
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. One to six months related experience and/or training. CNC programming ability a must.
Pay
$20.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on experience
Work Hours
6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Fridays Optional overtime available
