Job Description
The Commercial Tire Technician is responsible for performing tire related services such as inspection, repair, or replacement of commercial and large equipment tires, fleet checks, and other services in an efficient and professional manner. Essential Job Functions:
•
Inspect and assess tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality and overall health of the tire.
•
Dismount, mount, install tires using safe, proper procedures. This includes the use of cage and/or whip hose, proper tire inflation, torquing of lug nuts to prescribed specifications, and resetting TPMS as needed.
•
Check air pressure, repair punctures as needed and replace faulty valves.
•
Accurately balance tires.
•
Complete work orders and related paperwork accurately and completely.
•
Load and unload tires and supplies as needed. Store all inventory in proper location.
•
Organize and maintain shop supplies and tools.
•
Keep tools and equipment in good working order. Report any faulty items.
•
Complete and maintain all required certifications such as TIA.
•
Comply with all safety directives and complete all safety training. Report all safety concerns.
•
Wear all required personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, eye and ear protection, and gloves.
•
Actively participate in all meetings and huddles such as safety meetings.
•
Adopt a team philosophy by assisting customers and co-workers whenever able.
•
Present a positive image of Callaghan’s Best One by being courteous, professional, eager, and well-groomed.

Be on time and reliable. Work efficiently and see tasks to completion.
•
Be flexible on scheduled hours, realizing that business hours are dictated by customer needs.
