Job Description
Perform duties as assigned in machine shop. Some experience working in a machine shop is preferred. General knowledge of tools and mechanical aptitude is required. Drill and/or deburr metal parts. Inspect parts and use measurement tools. Meet production goals and quality standards. May perform other general labor duties as assigned. Participate in training opportunities. Familiarity with machine shop operations is a plus. Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions and perform in a team environment. Experience with drilling, deburring, bead blasting would be a plus. Knowledge of blueprints and measurement tools a plus.
Custodial duties include but not limited to maintaining cleanliness of the shop inside and out including the restrooms.

Must be mechanically inclined and have experience working with tools - power tools, hand drill, pneumatic tools, drill press and other basic machine shop equipment.
Valid driver’s license required

WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The normal work environment is typical of a manufacturing-machine with both indoor and outdoor areas.
While performing the regular duties of the position, the incumbent is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and possible exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. The incumbent must be able to wear safety equipment and follow safety instructions. Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
The incumbent is routinely required to stand (85% - 90% of the days is spent standing), walk, stoop, kneel, touch, see, and hear, and the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
This is a full-time permanent position with room for growth. Work hours are 8:00 – 4:30 Monday through Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. No other shifts a
