Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to operate 3-axis knee type mill using conversational CNC programming.
Must be able to operate manual lathes fitted with DROs.
Studies specifications, such as manufacturing operation sheets and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances, cutting tools required, sequence of operations, and necessary gauging required to ensure conformity to blueprint requirements.
Familiarity with AutoCAD (Solidworks a plus).
Must have the capability to update CNC programs utilizing computer equipment and CNC program.
Accomplish complete set-up of CNC machine tool securing work piece holding devices such as fixtures, chucks or collets and setting the necessary cutting tools in place to produce an acceptable part.
Operate the machine tool in a cautious and safe manner.
Must have the capability to debug CNC programming and manually input edits to satisfy requirements.
Verifies dimensional requirements with measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers and other indicating devices.
Performs other related duties as required.
Pay based on verifiable skills/experience.
This is a full-time, permanent position with room for advancement. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. Eligible for medical and dental insurance after 90 days.
