Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of aseptic technique
- Setup sterile equipment for the case
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments after use
- Assists circulator as necessary
- Keeps sterile supplies updated
- Maintains current CPR certifications
- Assists with terminal cleaning of the surgical suite
- Acts as a trainer/preceptor for new employees as needed
Qualifications:
- No experience required.
- Graduate of an accredited program of Surgical Technology, Certified Surgical Technician, Certified Ophthalmic Assistant with Surgical Assistant training preferred.
- Adequate training will be provided upon hire.
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires close visual perception and manual dexterity.
- This position requires the ability to stand, reach, bend, and sit all day.
Work Hours
30 - 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday
