Control Panel Test Technician

Job Description

As our Control Panel Test Technician, you will troubleshoot, test and record proper functions of custom control panels that control the movement of water to cities, municipalities, and homes for our water and wastewater industry clients. This position works at our St. Petersburg, FL location. You will inspect custom panels to ensure they do not have any defects, function properly, and meet quality standards all while working with a team of engineers and technicians on recommendations for design modifications to improve quality or reduce costs. You will utilize the bill of materials to make sure the correct components are used in the panel and provide training or coaching to panel assemblers as needed. To succeed in this role, you need to have an understanding of electrical component function (PLCs, VFDs, relays, etc.), be comfortable working with up to 480V electricity, and have previous experience making electrical connections for testing purposes. You will be using a variety of tools including digital multimeters and simulator boards. Electrical experience or education is required.
