Job Description
Read prescription orders and patient charts to calculate the quantity of nutrients required to prepare intravenous solutions
Responsible for meticulously preparing intravenous solutions in the proper dosage for each patient as prescribed by the Doctor (Training provided on preparing each IV solution)
Record keeping and labeling of solutions
Maintain equipment and workspace to prevent errors
Perform aseptic technique to prevent contamination and infection
Perform the set up and clean up of equipment to prepare for use
Skills
1 + years experience as Medical Assistant
2 + years in healthcare
Understanding of medical terminology
Experience in IV solution preparation
Phlebotomy or IV certification preferred
Intermediate computer skills
Strong math skills
Superior communication and patient service skills
Pay
$18 - $20 hourly
Work Hours
M-F 7:45am - 4:15pm
