Automation Assembly Technician II
Location: Oldsmar, FL
Pay: $25.00–$30.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time | 1st Shift
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Assembly Technician II to build, assemble, and test custom automation equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys mechanical assembly, problem-solving, and working with engineered systems.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and test custom automation machinery and mechanical systems
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Fit, modify, and adjust components for optimal performance
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in automated equipment
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to complete projects
Perform quality checks to ensure systems meet specifications
Support installation and commissioning of equipment (occasional travel)
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in mechanical assembly, automation, or industrial equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications (Plus Skills)
Welding experience
Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, or electrical systems
Prior experience in manufacturing, automation, or machine building
Work Environment
Manufacturing and automation shop environment
Standing, bending, and lifting (up to 25 lbs)
Team-based, hands-on production setting
