prepare foods required for meals and special events, prepare foods for both independent living and care center, assist culinary production team with all aspects of food production, assist in preparation of special events, insure food safety and sanitation by all team members, follow recipes and production sheets for food items, collaborate with chefs and other team members to production of day to day food, provide a positive role model and professional image to peers, team members and the community. assist on covering within the kitchen during absences.
Skills
knife skills, knowledge of food safety, soups and sauces from scratch, small batch cooking, knowledge of breaking down meats and proteins (clean and portion beef tenderloin, skin and portion fish), strong leadership skills, team player.
